Indoor Air Quality
Between work and home life, the average person spends about 90% of their time indoors! Indoor air can be 2 to 5 times more polluted than outside air. In fact, the Environmental Protection Agency ranked indoor air quality as a top 5 environmental danger.
A well-insulated home can help with your energy bills by keeping a constant temperature, but that also leads to the same air being recycled through your home each time you run your air conditioner or furnace. Be sure you have proper filtration in place to prevent allergens and bacteria from circulating around your air.
Pacific Air Heating & Air Conditioning can help you breathe easy. Call us today at 360-357-4328 and we can put together a plan for your home!
Humidifiers and Dehumidifiers
The comfort of your home not only depends on the air temperature but also the amount of moisture in the air.
Cold weather typically means dry, uncomfortable air. Dry air can cause respiratory problems as well as damage wooden furniture. Whole home humidifiers emit water vapor to increase the humidity in your home.
On the other hand, hot weather can mean thick, humid air. This can lead to condensation on your windows, mold spots on walls or ceilings, blistering paint or peeling wallpaper, just to list a few issues. A whole home dehumidifier removes excess moisture from the air in your home.
Humidifiers can improve your indoor air quality as well as positively impact the overall health of your family and health of your home. Controlling the humidity in your home will help protect not only your respiratory system but also your wood floors, furniture and artwork.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Star program, leaky ducts in attics or crawlspaces can account for 20% or more of a home’s heating and cooling energy losses. This makes it difficult to keep your house comfortable and can result in higher utility bills. Some signs that you may have leaky ducts include:
- High Summer and Winter utility bills
- Rooms that are difficult to heat and cool
- Stuffy rooms that never seem to feel comfortable
- Ducts are located in an attic, crawlspace, or the garage
- Tangled or kinked flexible ducts in your system
Learn more about how you can detect, prevent, and fix air duct issues with the help of the professionals at Pacific Air Heating & Air Conditioning. Find out more about duct testing, duct insulation, and duct cleaning and how they relate to and impact indoor air quality.

Air Conditioner Replacement in Olympia, WA 98501
“Pacific Air Heating and AC recently replaced an aging furnace and air conditioner at my home. From start to finish, the experience could not have been any better. Randy provided the estimate and we worked together to find products that would fit my needs and my budget. Brandon installed the units and took his time to walk me through all the new features and answer any questions. When I called the office, it was easy to reach a real person instead of having to go through a phone system that always send you to voicemail. Having worked with other companies in the area, this company is a standout. They were prompt, professional, easy to work with, and delivered high quality products and installation. I would highly recommend without reservations and look forward to calling them in the future for maintenance or other needs.”

Water Heater Repair in Olympia, WA 98512
“May 30, 2020 – Found we had no hot water this morning at 10 a.m. It's a gas hot water heater. Tried to reignite the pilot a few times with no success.
I called Pacific Air. They did the install of the hot water heater back in 2009, along with the upgraded furnace and heat pump. I left a message about the situation. Received a call back in 15 minutes. I described the issue to Jim. He said he would notify the on-call tech to respond. Phil arrived within 40 minutes. Funny, he was the tech that did the install of the furnace, heat pump and hot water heater. The issue was fairly minor – a cleaning and a couple adjustments only. He was here less than an hour. Hot water is back! Yea!
Reasonable price considering a weekend call out. Pacific Air is a great company – reliable, professional, friendly staff, and great products. I highly recommend them! 😃”

Gas Fireplace Repair in Olympia, WA 98506
“I called because it was hazy and smoky in my fireplace this morning after 10-15 minutes of running, which I'd never seen before. There was residue on the glass which he cleaned. They didn't find anything wrong but they checked for carbon monoxide and gas leaks and found none. Better to be safe than sorry.”
